Automated Entertainments top Elac picks for every budget

Elac's first product might have been a turntable, but since then, the brand has expanded their product line to a host loudspeakers from entry-level and high-end models. The manufacturer has developed a number of its own unique speaker technologies establishing themselves as a pivotal player in the audio game.
Elac has delivered a great selection performance speakers, with exceptional designs.
Get ready for summer with the best that Elac has to offer:
3. ELAC Debut 2.0 B6.2
A step up from its predecessor, the B6, the B62 has received numerous accolades and awards from industry leaders. These bookshelf speakers raise the bar for performance higher than ever before. Featuring a NEW silk-dome tweeter with a wide-roll surround, it can take response up to 35,000 Hz for even more high frequencies. The built in waveguide improves directivity control and eliminates the diffraction modes in regular box enclosures.

At just 15inches tall, their versatility is unmatched. Weather it is a bookshelf or a standing table, you wont have a problem fitting them in your space. This new version has REVISED the shape of the aramid cone making it create even greater stiffness and damping. The added strength allows more flexibility in design to achieve a smoother, extended low-frequency response. The multi-channel system allows the majority of sound to come through the center speaker, optimizing sensitivity and impedance to minimize the power requirement from the AV receiver, maximizing dynamic impact.
2. ELAC Debut 2.0 F5.2
At a low range price, the F5.2 is a three-way design, with the two lower main drivers handling the low bass leaving the top driver to take over the midrange frequencies up to the handover point of the tweeter. While all three drivers are identical, the bass and midrange sections within the cabinet are separated.
An added feature for the Debut 2.0 is cabinet bracing. The divider between the bass enclosure and the midrange section partially serves this purpose, but additional bracing is fitted below the bottom driver at a point that flexes the most.

With the 2.0 you get more bass, and more drive units that are better optimized to cover a full frequency range. The bass unit is based around an Aramid weave cone with a rear damping coating and an all new dust cap. Treble is handled by the same tweeter that is used across the entire range. When the speakers are pointed straight at you, it is very midrange-dominant. This is great for vocals and picking out lead instruments. For all your home audio needs, this mid priced speaker will be more than powerful enough for most audiophiles.
1. ELAC Reference DBR62 6.5
The Elac DBR62 is a solid piece of audio machinery, no doubt helped by the new perimeter internal bracing. The real big changes are the new mid/bass unit with a cast aluminum chassis. Its 16.5cm cone is made of aramid fiber. It is linked to the same 25mm cloth tweeter as the predecessor, but much work has been done on the high-frequency unit’s waveguide to improve the overall performance.
The speakers perform best when placed around 50cm out from the wall. Given some space to breathe, they produce a far more open and subtle sound. Don’t forget a pair of solid stands, too. At their best, they challenge the class leaders. Their midrange performance IS clean, clear and impressively delicate, without sounding overly etched.

The Elac lineup has a sleek design, but that's not all these pieces have going for them – they're lovely to listen to as well, delivering a glorious sound that fills a room. They also boast a satisfying cohesion between mid and high frequencies. No matter your budget, Automated entertainment has an Elac speaker that is suitable for any audiophiles needs.
